As we say goodbye to another year, it's time to revisit the highlights from the Swegon blog throughout 2023. From significant milestones for the UK&I to insightful knowledge sharing, this year has been one that showcased our commitment to delivering on issues, from sustainability to building safety. So go and grab a drink and catch up on the most popular blogs of 2023 that you may have missed!
#1 Strengthening our Waterloo range with enhanced product choice & digital tools
We brought together the group’s room unit brands of Waterloo, NACO and Air Diffusion under one brand identity “Waterloo by Swegon”, reflecting its position as the UK’s largest manufacturer of air terminal devices.
#2 Swegon moves into new ‘local flagship’ factory in Kent (UK)
We moved into our new Vantage Point factory in Kent, a modern and sustainable hub for our operations in the UK.
#3 Why you should consider a 4-pipe system for cooling and heating
A traditional two-pipe system for heating and cooling may not be an optimal solution for buildings with mixed usage that combines, for instance, retails, offices and hotels. Besides, the southward side of the building facing the sun might require cooling at the same time that the northward side, in the shadow, might require heating. This demands a highly flexible heating and cooling solution.
#4 What you need to know about successfully demonstrating damper compliance
Within Europe and the UK, fire dampers are covered by a harmonised product standard, which is EN15650:2010. There has been a requirement for damper manufacturers to comply with this standard since July 2013, when CE marking against the Construction Product Regulation came into effect.
#5 GEYSER SKY - ACR News Commercial Heat Pump Product of the Year
GEYSER SKY won Commercial Heat Pump Product of the Year at the 2023 ACR News Awards.
