Swegon's Vibro-Acoustics division proudly announces the NVLAP (National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program) for its state-of-the-art 6th generation Aero-Acoustics Research and Innovation Laboratory, marking a significant milestone in the company's acoustic testing capabilities.
This prestigious accreditation, which evaluates laboratories against the rigorous ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards, reinstates Vibro-Acoustics' long-standing recognition as a leader in advanced acoustic testing. The certification covers critical services including acoustical and aerodynamic testing, including determination of sound power levels utilizing a reverberation room.
"Our NVLAP accreditation positions Vibro-Acoustics among an elite group of manufacturers with independently verified testing capabilities," explains Christina DiLallo, VP of Vibro-Acoustics. "This certification ensures the integrity of our test data, providing customers with performance metrics they can trust, backed by the highest industry standards."
The accreditation process involved comprehensive assessment of the laboratory's technical competence, quality management systems, and testing procedures. The newly accredited facility continues a legacy dating back to the 1960s, when Vibro-Acoustics established its first laboratory. Notably, the company's 4th generation laboratory was the world's first NVLAP-accredited facility for silencer testing.
