On May 7th Michael Ward, BIM & Digital Construction Manager, and Tony Olsson, Product Manager Acoustics, both from Swegon, hosted a webinar to introduce Design Assist, a Revit plugin developed to support HVAC design work in completely new ways.
Designers, consultants and engineers in the HVAC industry can spend countless hours on smaller, repetitive tasks. These activities interrupt workflow and disrupt creative momentum. If these smaller tasks could be automated, valuable time would be freed up for what matters the most in HVAC design: creativity, strategic thinking and high‑value design work.
To address this workflow bottleneck, we introduce Acoustic Design with Design Assist for Revit, a design tool that automates room sounds calculations and selects, sizes and places silencers in HVAC projects. With built-in calculation capabilities, the system can process up to 15 rooms per second, enabling work that previously took days or weeks to be completed in a matter of seconds.
