The specific unit chosen for the innovation gallery is a concept unit manufactured with recycled and renewable steel, which is also planned for gradual introduction in ongoing production. This steel allows for a notable reduction of the embodied carbon content, addressing the industry’s next urgent challenge. The steel used is Magnelis XCarb® RRP, primarily produced from recycled steel and processed using 100% renewable energy. Based on the existing Environmental product declaration (EPD) for GOLD RX, size 12, the total global warming potential (GWP) is expected to be reduced by approximately 20% with a complete replacement of all traditional steel.
