For the second year, Swegon has chosen to become partner to the international golf competition Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, which this year is played at Halmstad Golf Club. The golf competition has a clear sustainability strategy, with focus on some of UN's global sustainability goals "People, Planet, Profit and Innovation", which are in line with Swegon's own work.
“I am very happy that we are also this year partners to Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed. The golf tournaments clear focus on innovation and sustainability, with gender equality as one of the main areas, is completely in line with our own work at Swegon. We already deliver many of the industry's most energy-efficient products for a healthy and sustainable indoor climate, and are constantly developing our own sustainability journey, among other things by being first in our industry with EPDs, environmental product declarations for products from a life cycle perspective. We also raise our goals in gender equality, an area where our entire industry has a major challenge. In addition, Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed is a perfect arena for us to reach out with our message about the importance of a good indoor climate,” says Andreas Örje Wellstam, CEO of Swegon Group.
“We are very proud to be able to extend our partnership with Swegon. A partner with a strong focus on sustainability and gender equality that suits us and our event. With Swegon's focus on indoor climate, the competition will optimize the areas during the event to help both our partners and players maximize their performance”, says Claes Nilsson, CEO of We Do Sports and initiator of Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed.
