An investment for the future

Swegon builds a new, state-of-the-art test centre for acoustic and waterborne products in Arvika, Sweden. This initiative represents a significant expansion of current testing capacity and an opportunity to continue developing products, conduct full scale customer tests and create future business opportunities.

The new test centre will complement the existing facility, which has been in operation for over 30 years. This new construction will bring a substantial modernisation and new opportunities to meet future demands for both indoor climate solutions and sustainability.

“A new test centre will ensure continued efficient product development and testing. We will also be able to offer more advanced tests and customer demonstrations than we do today,” says Robert Andersson, VP Business Area Room Units.

Robert emphasises that the new facility is essential for Swegon to maintain its market-leading position while strengthening its role as an innovative and quality-assured provider of indoor climate solutions.

The construction project is divided into three phases. The first phase involves building a 1,000-square-meter test centre directly adjacent to the existing facility, expected to be completed by the turn of the year 2025/2026. Phases 2 and 3 include the addition of a new visitor area with full-scale test rooms and modernisation of the capacity rooms in the existing test centre. The entire project is expected to be completed by summer 2026.

“Once the test centre is finished, we will be able to do exactly what we do today, but on a larger scale and with modern methods. We will also be able to conduct new types of tests, such as sound measurements of the water circuit of room products and advanced testing of silencers,” says Robert Andersson.

The test environment will also be equipped with digital services and visualisation tools from Swegon INSIDE, to demonstrate how the developed and tested products contribute to increased energy efficiency and a comfortable indoor climate.
